Google SERP Preview Tool
When Google shows your website pages in its Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs) it usually takes the content from the page itself. The title is taken from the Meta Title tag and the short text below it is often taken from the Meta Description tag. The Google SERP Preview Tool is a visualization plugin available in the ThinkCMS SiteManager interface that shows how your site will might look like in Google's results and helps you optimize the Meta Title and Meta Description tags better.
The Google SERP Preview Tool comes linked to the Meta tags helpers that assist you with tips and help you optimize the Meta Title, Meta Description and Meta Keywords tags for your pages. How your pages will look in Google's SERPs can be totally different from what you see with the preview tool since Google uses all the content available on the page. If you are able to see the keywords you are optimizing the page for in the preview and if the keywords are present in both the Title and the Description, it is clear that you have optimized them well for this keyword.
Please note that the URL shown in the preview is just an example and is not the real URL of your page.
Follow the instructions and guidelines listed on the Meta Title and Meta Description pages for optimal performance.
* The Google SERP Preview Tool is available in SiteManager versions 3.1+ installed after April 18, 2011
